9 Weeks Old and First Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

Hello Everyone! Another exciting week for Connor! He slept for the first time 8 hours in a row on 10/14 and 9 hours in a row on 10/15! As you can imagine, Jason and I are THRILLED! He's smiling more and "talking" constantly and we love every second of it! Here are some pictures from last week!

This is from Wednesday, 10/14, when Wendy and I worked at the office and Grant and Connor "hung out" :) Again - Connor was THRILLED to be with his "big brother" Grant!

On Thursday, 10/15, Jo Jo and Granddaddy Greg brought dinner!

Thursday night's bath! FUN TIMES! Connor LOVES getting a bath now - this is how he scoots himself down on the bather so that he is laying in the warm water! SOOO cute! I sing to him while I bathe him and he sings back!

On Friday, after giving sound clinical advice during supervision, Connor was enjoying laying on the couch in the office! He looks so grown up in this picture!

Blowing Rock With Miss Ashlee!

On Saturday, 10/10, we were delighted to meet my good friend Ashlee, and her husband, Jeff, and their friends, in Blowing Rock! Ashlee and I worked together at Ballyhoo while we were at UF and I had not seen her since 2002!!! It was great having lunch with them and catching up! Miss Ashlee is 21 weeks pregnant with Baby Lily and we are SO excited for her family!

We also got to have lunch with my good friend, Paula, from high school, on Sunday, but I forgot to take pictures :( We had a great time and I got to see her mom, who I haven't seen since 1998!!!! It was wonderful meeting Paula's family and I can't wait till they come back up in February!

Week 8 Already!

Hello Everyone!

Connor is almost 9 weeks old as I type this! We had a great week last week, trying to get back into working! Connor had his 2 month doctor visit on 10/13/09. Connor weighs 12lbs 6oz and his weight is in the 50th percentile (up 3 pounds exactly from his 2 week appointment); he is 22 inches long and his height is in the 75th percentile (up 1 inch from his 2 week appointment); and his head (I did not get the circumference) is in the 90th percentile (meaning he's got a good sized brain in there!!!!!) Dr. Makres said that Connor is thriving beautifully and that I should not start cereal until he is 4 months old and then fruit at 6 months and veggies at 8 months. We go back on 12/14 at 9:10 AM. He did really well at the appointment and only screamed when Dr. Makres was probing around...until the shots came! He was a big boy and screamed for just a minute when he got all of his shots, including: DTap (VERY nervous about this one); Polio; HepB; Hib; and Pcv.

Here's what those are for, in case you're wondering...

DTap - Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis

Polio - obviously for Polio

HepB - Hepatitis B

Hib - Haemophilus Influenza Type b (A dangerous bacteria that causes meningitis in children under 5, pneumonia, and infections of the blood, joints, bones, and the membrane covering the heart.

pcv - Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (a bacteria that is the leading cause of bacterial meningitis in children)

Later that day, we went to Wendy (Aunt Dee's) house to work! This is Wendy's youngest son, Grant, holding Connor, who ADORES Grant! He looks up to Grant like Grant's his big brother...little does he know, he will be the big brother one day!

On Monday, 10/12, when Connor turned 2 months old, Dr. Ladd paid us a visit! She had not seen Connor since the night he was born when she peeked at him through the nursery window!

Connor's 7th Week "On the Outside"

Hello Everyone!

We hope you all had a great week! Connor's 7th week was great and we have lots of pictures to prove it! Connor began sleeping 5 hours at a time this week! WOO HOO! He now only gets up once a night to eat and basically sleeps through the night! I know this might not be the case in a week, but for now we are thoroughly enjoying this sleep! Here are some pictures from the week!

On Saturday, 10/3 we decided to visit the Apple Festival in Erwin with Granddaddy Greg and Jo Jo! Here's Connor, with his daddy, all dressed up and ready to go!
