Lovin' Life!

What a week!  Busy Busy Busy!  All of us were sick with a cold, but still had a great time!  Unfortunately, since Saturday, 11/13, Connor has had a fever of at least 102 degrees.  I have been treating it with Motrin and Tylenol and lots of love.  Please remember him in your prayers.  We are supposed to head to Atlanta on Tuesday for a Dave Matthew's Band concert and Connor is staying with his Papaw and Memaw!  He's super excited, but we sure hope he feels better by then.  I took him to the doctor on Thursday, 11/11, because he kept pulling at his ears, but they said they thought he had a cold or a bacterial infection and put him on Amoxicillan.  When I called Dr. Makres last night he said that Connor probably had a viral infection and that is why the Amoxicillan was not working.  He said to expect the fever to last for a couple of days and that even 104 was not too worrisome for a 15 month old.  By the way - Connor turned 15 months old on Friday, 11/12, and as of 11/11 he weighed 22.8 lbs!  He's SUCH a great eater!  He even eats 2 packets of oatmeal with a full cup of milk in it for breakfast!  He also loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on wheat for lunch and enjoys snacking on grapes, bananas, and most of all apples!  We are so blessed!  Ok - onto the pictures!

These are from Tuesday, 11/9, when Connor and Kona (Jo and Granddaddy's dog) played outside.  We are watching Kona while they are in Hawaii, celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary and Granddaddy's birthday!

These pictures are from Wednesday, 11/10, before I left for class!

On 11/12, we headed to the park for our weekly play date with Harper and Adriel!  This time we had a couple of new friends join us!  Here are some pictures from the park.  Connor LOVED it!

This is Connor, pooped after a fun afternoon with friends at the park!

On Saturday, 11/13, I ran my very first 5K with Adriel!  It was called the Turkey Trot and was sponsored by the YWCA in Bristol!  It was a BLAST!  I did not think I could do it, but shocked myself by running the whole thing - in about 28 minutes!  So grateful to Adriel for encouraging me!  Here I am, just before the race, scarfing a bagel (second breakfast) so that I had the energy to run!

Connor, waiting on the race to begin!

Me and Adriel before the race!

These are our "race faces" :)  By the way - I'm dressed warmly because it was 30 degree out!

On your mark...get set...GO!

At the finish!

Boogies, cheering me on!

Loved it!  In fact, I loved it SO much that tonight I'm running my SECOND 5K!  It's at the Bristol Motor Speedway and called the Speedway in Lights 5K for Children's Charities!  I'm crazy, I know :)  Adriel already has me signed up for a third on 12/5 and we're talking about a 6K in March!  Bring it on!
