A Week in Review!

We hope you have all been doing well!  Things have been crazy around here the past 2 weeks!  Lots going on!  I was sure to capture a few great moments for you all though!  Some new developments:  Connor went to his eye doctor appointment on 4/7/11 and we were told that he does not, in fact, suffer from lazy eye.  However, sadly enough, his vision is so poor (he's extremely farsighted) that he is straining so hard to see things that his eyes are turning inward.  We never would have known, had we not noticed his little eye turning in.  Luckily it was only going on for about 2 months before we saw the doctor.  So, the solution, you ask?  GLASSES!  Connor was prescribed some VERY strong glasses that he has to wear all the time.  The doctor said that he thinks that after about a year and a half to two years of wearing the glasses Connor's vision will be just perfect and he will probably never have to wear glasses again.  If there is still an issue after about 2 years, they might have to perform surgery on our little guy.  Hopefully that's not the case!  As for Little Ratliff #2, he/she is growing strong!  I had a doctor's appointment on 4/13, and they said everything was going great - my bp was perfect and the little one's heartrate was 155 bpm - right where Connor's was at that time.  The most exciting news is that we get to see our newest little addition in just 4 weeks when we have our BIG sonogram on 5/17, and we get to find out if Connor will have a little brother or a little sister!  How exciting!  And speaking of exciting...boy did we have a great week!  Check out these pictures....

This is Connor on Saturday, 4/9, after we picked up his new glasses!  We are still shocked to say that he does not mess with them at all and we think it's because he's actually able to see the world now!

This is me and baby #2 on Sunday, 4/10, at 15 weeks pregnant!

Connor, all ready for church on 4/10!  He's holding 2 of his dinosaurs - he is recently obsessed with dinosaurs!

After his nap on Sunday, 4/10, we headed over to Anderson Park with Daddy!  Connor LOVES to swing with me now!

Big slide!

I don't remember the slides, when I was little, shocking me every time I went down them, however, this seems to be the trend with the new plastic slides at all the parks!  Check out Connor's "staticky" hair!

My boys!

Connor's favorite thing to do at the park is to find sticks and then throw mulch on the slide!  Here he is with one of his favorite sticks!

On Tuesday, 4/19, we got to keep Harper for a couple of hours while Adriel taught class!  So exciting!  Here's Connor, showing me some of his cars...

Harper insisted on wearing Connor's bib while she played!

Watching Baby Mozart on TV!

Lunch with his best friend!

How cute is she with her little pigtails!?!

His new food obsession...GRAPES!

On Saturday, 4/16, we had a SUPER exciting day!  We started the day with an Easter egg hunt at Harper's church!!  Here we are in the children's room at the church, waiting for the festivities to begin!

With Adriel and Harper!

Playing a game where we walked around numbers to music and when the music stopped, if you were on the number they called out then you got a gift...

And Connor just happened to win!!!!  Here he is with his new teddy bear!

Harper won, too!  Here we all are with our newly-won prizes!

Making sheep and learning about Jesus!

Listening to an Easter story!

And...finally...the egg hunt!  Unfortunately we had some nasty weather, so the hunt was in the santuary!

Connor and his loot!

And you won't BELIEVE where we went later in the day!  After naptime, we took Connor and Harper to see Mickey Mouse Live in Johnson City!  Connor was so excited when he saw Mickey come out on stage that I thought he stopped breathing!  I mean to tell you...he was EXCITED friends!

Waiting for the show to begin!

You weren't supposed to take pictures, but Jason couldn't help himself!!

With Connor's new Mickey's from Grandma and Grandpa and his Mamaw!  Thanks everyone!!

We were very excited when we awoke Sunday morning, 4/17, to find that we'd been "flocked" by our church's Youth Group!  What is being "flocked" you ask?  Well, friends, it involves LOTS of plastic pink flamingos all over your yard!  It's a fundraiser and we were chosen by our friends, the Livingston's, to be next on the list....so who shall we chose?!

Showing Connor the flock!  He called them "Penguins!!"

And, one last picture...don't forget about baby #2!!  Little Ratliff is 16 weeks old - 17 weeks old tomorrow!  Growing, growing, growing!

We hope you've enjoyed!  Have a great week!
