Well, our long awaited trip to Florida has now come and gone...but we could not possibly have hoped for a better time! We left on Thursday morning, 4/1, at 4:15 AM (after rolling out of bed at 3 AM), and arrived in Clermont at 6:15 PM. I have to say that Connor is quite the little traveler! He did fantastically on the road. He did not cry at all. He slept during his normal nap times (9 AM and 1 PM) and was content to listen to me read, play with toys, and watch his favorite movies (Cars, Finding Nemo, and Baby Einstein) the rest of the time! What a fantastic boy we have! Not to mention...he got 4 new teeth while we were gone. A new bottom tooth that has come in and 3 top teeth that have broken through his gums, but not quite come all the way in yet. Did I mention that he did not cry at all?!?! And he did not cry on the trip until the last night when I was bathing him to put him to bed. I think he'd had enough of missing his bedtime and sleeping in his pack-n-play! By the way, for all of you who kept saying how shocked you were that he never cries and is such a good baby...just wait till he has one of his bad days, you'll be the first ones I call :) HA! Anyway - enough of this...on to the TONS of pictures I'm about to post. I'll narrate the trip as I post the pictures! Enjoy!
This is Connor as we passed into the state of Georgia! He had just woken up for the morning and is still in his pj's :) Here he is in Dalton, where his Auntie Liz lives!
This is Connor when we passed into the state of Florida! He was chillin', watching his Baby Einstein video and chewing on those yummy pigs! Connor's now been to 6 states (TN, VA, NC, SC, GA, and FL) and all before he's 1 year old!
The first night that we got there, we got to see Grandma, Grandpa, Mimi (Suz) and Uncle Dave! We had an awesome dinner of dad's famous chicken wings and celery! Here's Connor, enjoying some of dad's water and relaxing!
The next morning, 4/2, we headed out to the park in my mom's neighborhood, bright and early, so that Connor could test out the swings in Florida! I told him that they were the same as the swings in TN, but he insisted on testing them out! Connor actually got to wear his awesome summer clothes during the trip, from Jo-Jo! Thanks for all the awesome outfits, Jo-Jo!
For lunch, on Friday, we headed over to Tiki on the lake, to meet Uncle Darryl, Mimi, and Cousin Dakota! Here's Connor, meeting his Uncle Darryl for the first time!
He headed over to the water with Daddy, while we waited on our fish sandwiches to arrive!
Relaxing in the heat at our table, waiting on lunch! Just before what shall be known as "The Poop Incident of 2010" :)
I'll spare you all the details, but notice he's in a different outfit in the rest of the pictures at Tiki! Spending time with Grandma, after lunch!
Wearing Grandpa's hat!
Next, we headed over to Mimi and Uncle Dave's house to get ready for a big dinner that night! And guess who came to see little Connor?! His Aunt Misty, Uncle Rob, Cousin Dylan and Cousin Landon!!!! This is when Connor FINALLY met his Aunt Misty and his cousins!
Not sure what to think!
Sitting with Daddy!
My chica and I have been friends for 20 years now!

Uncle Dave joins the fun!
Giving Mommy kissies!
On Saturday, 4/3, Misty and Landon came over to Grandpa and Grandma's house in the morning and Uncle Rob and Dylan headed over to the "Big D" :) We decided to take the boys swinging...guess who's suggestion that was :) Here are Landon and Connor swinging together! We tried to have them swim together, also, but no such luck. The water was FREEZING! Poor Connor cried when I dipped his toes in it!
That afternoon, we all headed over to Mimi and Uncle Dave's house for an awesome night of Easter egg dying and hunting with family! Here's a family shot of us by Mimi's pool Saturday night!
Uncle Dave gave Connor his first taste of watermelon, which he LOVED! He kept gagging on the texture though so he just sucked the juices out of it!
Connor started the Easter egg hunt a little bit early! Here he is with an egg he found!

Later, when Connor woke up, we decorated an Easter cookie!
When Suz and Dave got married, I was 5 years old and the flower girl in their wedding and Scottie, Dave's nephew, was the ring bearer...also 5 years old. Well, we had a great time that night, dancing the night away, at their wedding! He was at the party Saturday night - I had not seen him since the wedding! It was great to see him. Funny part is that he and his wife had their baby, Aubrey, on 5/9/09 (just 3 months before Connor was born) and if you all recall, if Connor had been a girl, we were going to name him Aubree! Anyway - this is a picture of me and Connor with Scottie and Aubrey!
On Easter we went to my parent's church. Here is Connor in his Easter best!
During the service, I had to go to the "cry room" because Connor was trying his best to preach the sermon, over the preacher :) While in there, I ran into my dad's friend Shawn and his wife Michelle and their baby, Logann! Here is a picture of Connor and I with Michelle and Logann. Yet another girl who tried her best to get to Connor! (Aubrey did the same thing...)

All of us at church on Easter!
Our little family outside of the church, Easter morning!
After church, we went back to Grandpa and Grandma's house for some Easter basket fun! They got Connor so many wonderful gifts! Here we are openning his "basket" which was actually a box because there was so much stuff!
Later that day, we headed over to Suzanne and Dougie's house for some Easter dinner! Connor was exhausted and decided to sprawl out for a little Easter nap!
After his nap, checking Facebook stats with Daddy...
We decided to check out the swings next to Suzanne's house!
Connor and I on the sea-saw!
Connor was super excited after dinner that night - here he is with one of his best smiles!
Upon returning to Suz's house, we had "The bird incident" :) Here is Dillon with "the bird" :)
On Monday, 4/5, we decided to hang out at Grandma and Grandpa's house and relax before our big trip home! Of course, we took a little trip to the park in their neighborhood. Since we'd had so much trouble with the sun the past few days, I decided to try Granddaddy Greg's do-rag on Connor to help protect his head from the sun!
Grandpa and Connor (Connor LOVES his mustache!)
Getting ready for the trek to the park!
Looks like he's ready for a hike!
At the park!
He's a swingin fool!

Daddy and Mommy played at the park, too!
I call this one "A Day at the Park" :)
He was falling asleep here!
He loves his Grandpa!
One of my favorites! Look at that face!
Later that night, my good friend, Mike, came to visit and meet Connor! Connor loved his Uncle Mike!
"Look who's got me, Mommy...Uncle Mike!"
Precious!
Well, I hope you've enjoyed the pictures! This blog certainly took some time to post! SHEW! Have a fantastic week, everyone, and thanks for letting me know how much you enjoy the blog - it means a lot!
xoxo
