Oh…and One More HUGE Thing…I May Have Forgotten To Mention…

 

Baby Ratliff #3 is on his or her way…coming on or before September 4, 2013!

And boy were we surprised!  We had our first positive test on 12/28, in the middle of the Rotavirus YUCK in our house, the day my parents left and headed back to Florida.

And because we were so surprised…I took a few more tests…like 5…before calling the doctor…

But, sure enough…

I went to see the doctor on 1/18 and it was confirmed.  And we had our first ultrasound on 2/1 and everything is looking great.  This is by far my most difficult pregnancy and we are literally counting the weeks until this one arrives!  The boys are super excited and Jason has them all convinced this one is a girl…we shall see.  The pregnancy sure is completely different than my other 2.

January…and a little bit of February 2013

Well, we have a couple of pictures from January…trying to catch up still…

I took the boys to Target on 1/2 to use some of their Christmas money to get something they’d like.  Connor got a new Transformer and Cole, well, he wanted a full sized broom…that’s not a joke…

On 1/17, we had a surprise Winter Wonderland that we got to thoroughly enjoy!

We had snowball fights, went sledding down the hill, and then warmed up with a hot bath and some hot cocoa!

On 1/18, the boys headed to papaw’s house for the weekend so Jason and I could chaperone at Resurrection with our Youth Groups from church.  As you can see, they are devastated to be wearing these outfits…but I thought Papaw might like them

Playing Catch-Up…December in Our Household!

Well, Friends, it’s been quite a while.  After our last post, we all got the Rotavirus and each had it for about 10 days, through Christmas.  So, we don’t have too many pictures.  There is lots going on in our household, so I’ll post a few different blogs to catch you all up and promise to do a better job of keeping the blog updated, now that we are all well…for the most part!

On 12/11/12, Connor had his first Christmas Program at preschool.  He did an EXCELLENT job.  This is Cole, sitting with Adriel, while we were waiting for it to begin.

12/18/12…we finally got the tree up!

Jason and I before heading to a Christmas Party on 12/20, little did we know, we were just about to all get very sick…

On 12/21, we woke up to some beautiful snow…and the first instance of the Rotavirus in our house.  I took Cole to see Dr. Whiles that morning because he was not feeling well and could not keep anything down.  After being at the doctor until 1, he was exhausted and slept until 4:30, and by the time he woke up, he did not even have tears when he cried.  It was horrible.  So, we headed to the Children’s Hospital ER and there, he received 300 CC’s of fluid before we were released at 12:30 AM.  After putting him to sleep, Connor woke up, throwing up at 1:30 that morning.  Fun times…

My parents came in on 12/22, thank God.  Jason and I were both hit with it that morning and this is poor Connor on 12/23.  Did I mention how horrible it was?  We were so grateful to have our family take care of us.

On Christmas Eve, Jason and I were so sick that he could not even take part in Christmas Eve services at church, which last all day.  We were so sad to miss them.  We were also so sick that we could not get off the couch but decided to try to help the boys feel a little better by giving them Christmas presents from us.  This is Jason, giving Connor a box of Ninja Turtles and G.I. Joe’s that he played with as a child.

On Christmas Day we headed over to Granny and Jo-Jo’s houses for some Christmas fun.  I didn’t get many pictures here either because we were all super sick.

Cole’s big gift was his very own tool set!

On 12/26 we headed to papaw’s house for some more Christmas.  I don’t have many pictures from this day either.  But it was awesome!

Well, that was December in our household.  Not really the most fun Christmas ever, but it’s not because of all the awesome family we got to spend it with.  Here’s to hoping next year will see us all healthy for the holidays!
